Have you ever been in a place so beautiful that it made you doubt you were actually awake? A place so beautiful that your eyes could not believe what was right in front of you? This is North Cascades National Park in Washington. I had the honor to shoot Troy and Fernanda Piscioneris’ anniversary session in this gorgeous area.
Troy and Fernanda eloped back in 2018 and they have such an amazing energy and good vibes, they were even willing to wake up at 1:30 am to get ready for this beautiful sunrise session. We left their place at 2:30 am to make sure we would be at our destination on time, Diablo Lake at North Cascades at 5am for the perfect sunrise. The park is 2.5 hours from Seattle so we wanted make sure we would be there with time to spare in case we needed to hike. We jam on our way to the park, got some healthy snacks to make sure we were prepared, and got there just in time to watch the sun reveal the mountains and the absolutely perfect landscape. The result was beautiful, we had a blast from the beginning to the end of our session.
One of the reasons why the Piscioneris are some of my favorite people in the world dates back to 2016 when Troy’s mother Tatiana was my first bride ever. I shot her mother’s wedding… That is right! In 2017 it was her sister’s turn, she eloped and once again I was honored to cover such a special moment. 2018 was Troy and Fernandas’ turn and I can assure you it was amazing. Two years later I got to spend some quality time with these cuties at one of the best places on earth, North Cascades National Park.
Do you wanna know how to elope or have a session at the park?
1 – Find a photographer, I would love if that would be meeeee
2 – Choose a good time of the year to have your session, I would recommend summer for warmer weather purposes
3 – Make sure you have a national park permit
4 – Make sure to Leave No Trace
5 – HAVE FUN!
