Capturing Magic: An April Wedding at The Springs in Aubrey, Texas

Every wedding I photograph leaves a mark on my heart, but some days feel like they’re pulled from a storybook. This past April, I had the absolute joy of documenting a breathtaking celebration The Boone’s wedding at The Lodge at The Springs Venue in Aubrey, Texas — and it was nothing short of magical.

The day started with golden Texas sunlight pouring into the bridal suite. The bride, radiant and calm, was surrounded by her bridesmaids, each stunning in elegant black dresses that added a timeless and modern touch. Laughter, love, and a little bit of nervous energy filled the air, and from the very first photo, I knew this day would be something special.

The ceremony took place outdoors during the afternoon, with spring blooms and birdsong as the backdrop. As the bride walked down the aisle, the groom’s eyes filled with emotion and so did mine, behind the lens. That quiet, powerful moment between them spoke louder than any words could.

The reception moved indoors, where warm lighting, heartfelt toasts, and a packed dance floor brought the celebration to life. There was elegance, joy, and genuine connection everywhere I turned. Sweet moments from a spontaneous group hug on the dance floor to the way the bride’s father looked at her during their dance.

What makes a wedding truly unforgettable isn’t the setting (though The Springs is incredible!)—it’s the feeling. The little looks, the unscripted laughter, the quiet moments between the chaos. My goal is always to capture those moments honestly and artistically, so when you look back, you feel it all over again.
