Big Sur California is well known for its breathtaking coastline with beautiful and cliffs. In my opinion is the best place to watch the sunrise and sunset. That said, Big Sur it is also an amazing location to have the elopement of your dreams.
Although Big Sur is an area open to daily visitors, it is private land. Which means, in order to celebrate an elopement or intimate wedding it is necessary to apply for a permit and respect the Leave No Trace principles. To apply for a permit email bigsurevents@parks.ca.gov or call 831-667-0507. Elopement are only allowed during week days Monday-Thursday.
